Supplier Product Management System (Current Flow)

The following describes a typical flow of the current system:

  1. A supplier submits a new product with an excel form.
  2. The merchandising team reviews it. 2a. If it is rejected, it goes back to the supplier to resubmit. 2b. If it is approved, it goes to another merchandising team to manually create a new product into the ERP system.

It involves manual work and manual forms. It is time-consuming and the whole workflow could take up to a few weeks or months to complete.

Supplier Product Management (With System)

The following describes a typical flow when a system is implemented:

  1. A supplier submits a new product with a generated form.
  2. The merchandising team reviews it.
2a. If it is rejected, it goes back to the supplier to resubmit.
2b. If it is approved, the system is automatically updated with the submission.

This system reduces manual work by a great deal. It simplifies the submission process as forms are automatically generated based on different types of products. This system reduces time consumption by having mobility and speed. The time taken to market new products is also significantly decreased, giving your business a competitive advantage.
